Singa-singa-singapore

Some sort of to-do-list in Singapore, Singapore followed by some overly filtered iPhone shots from my most recent trip to SG:
  1. Have a kopi 'c' peng, an iced coffee with sweet evaporated milk, for a little caffeine hit and a way to offset the unrelenting and cruel levels of humidity. I like Tong Ah Coffee Shop in Chinatown.
  2. Visit Sentosa Island's Tanjong Beach Club, it's probably the cleanest and most overpriced part of the Island. It is also the furthest little beach area and attracts a lot of expats and foreigners.
  3. Eat Hainanese Chicken Rice, it doesn't really matter where, but I recommend Tian Tian Chicken Rice, SGD3.00/plate (price depends on the location, Maxwell Food Centre is the plate quoted here).
  4. Enjoy the view, I believe dusk is the most popular and beautiful time, from Marina Bay Sands, Ku De Ta. Don't be tricked into paying SGD20.00 to walk around the observation deck (spend it on a coffee/tea/cocktail from the lounge area).
  5. GO TO 'AWFULLY CHOCOLATE' AND TRY THEIR ICE-CREAM (YES I AM SCREAMING!) Even after spending my afternoon indulging at the Ritz Carlton (on the cutest macarons shaped and decorated as mice over blueberry cheesecake tart things #omg), it was easy for me to enjoy a single scoop of .
  6. Eat (all the other national dishes).

the unnecessary introduction

For the most part, I believe, that this blog will just be used to document my wanderings, whether it's one of my online expeditions (e.g. Claude Monet, his masterpieces, and which would look great in my room), travelling to Australia's most isolated state (Tasmania) and/pr eating my way through Singapore, all major cities of Vietnam and waking up in a food-induced-coma in Hong Kong.

I am not a writer and i'll probably, out of nowhere, start writing in dot points.
  • That's all for now
  • Leaving for Singapore on Friday
  • Let's catch up then
