In Preparation for Operation: Get Into My Bridesmaid Dress...

With less than 3 months to go, on the first weekend of April, my beautiful friends get married...this means, a wedding for which I am a bridesmaid for, and this also means I get to wear a beautiful dress. The problem is, I don't actually fit into this beautiful dress right now and this is why, I have spent for what feels like most of 2016, thus far, strategising. I feel like I am constantly blabbing to my friends about this plan to shred and get into this bridesmaid dress, so I am taking it online where no one really has to go through the pain of listening to me and I can go on and on and on.

This strategy is to be implemented on Monday, 11 January 2016 (i.e. ~T-82 days) - so with this week off work, I have been madly planning, I also made sure I incorporated some time to physically and mentally prepare - this involved a bit of clean eating, an almost daily 45-70 minute cardio session (cycling, elliptical and jogging) and some grocery shopping (oh and the fun part, shopping for an outfit that will be worn for the upcoming progress shots).

That's it for now, I'll get back on here this weekend where I plan on attending Kayla Itsines' Sydney Bootcamp on Saturday, and on Sunday, I focus on meal prepping for the week...oh what joy!

New York 1 1968, Brett Whiteley

7/2/15 - Brett Whiteley studio post-Surry Hills-markets-and-O Organic-smoothie-run. This old piece HAD a cab door attached to it at some point before its 2 year stint at the Chelsea Hotel, NY. It showcases the intensity of urbanism that is New York.

Singa-singa-singapore

Some sort of to-do-list in Singapore, Singapore followed by some overly filtered iPhone shots from my most recent trip to SG:
  1. Have a kopi 'c' peng, an iced coffee with sweet evaporated milk, for a little caffeine hit and a way to offset the unrelenting and cruel levels of humidity. I like Tong Ah Coffee Shop in Chinatown.
  2. Visit Sentosa Island's Tanjong Beach Club, it's probably the cleanest and most overpriced part of the Island. It is also the furthest little beach area and attracts a lot of expats and foreigners.
  3. Eat Hainanese Chicken Rice, it doesn't really matter where, but I recommend Tian Tian Chicken Rice, SGD3.00/plate (price depends on the location, Maxwell Food Centre is the plate quoted here).
  4. Enjoy the view, I believe dusk is the most popular and beautiful time, from Marina Bay Sands, Ku De Ta. Don't be tricked into paying SGD20.00 to walk around the observation deck (spend it on a coffee/tea/cocktail from the lounge area).
  5. GO TO 'AWFULLY CHOCOLATE' AND TRY THEIR ICE-CREAM (YES I AM SCREAMING!) Even after spending my afternoon indulging at the Ritz Carlton (on the cutest macarons shaped and decorated as mice over blueberry cheesecake tart things #omg), it was easy for me to enjoy a single scoop of .
  6. Eat (all the other national dishes).

the unnecessary introduction

For the most part, I believe, that this blog will just be used to document my wanderings, whether it's one of my online expeditions (e.g. Claude Monet, his masterpieces, and which would look great in my room), travelling to Australia's most isolated state (Tasmania) and/pr eating my way through Singapore, all major cities of Vietnam and waking up in a food-induced-coma in Hong Kong.

I am not a writer and i'll probably, out of nowhere, start writing in dot points.
  • That's all for now
  • Leaving for Singapore on Friday
  • Let's catch up then
